Learning through questions, curiosity, and everyday moments.
Learning at home does not have to look perfect.
At EVERIJOY, we do not believe childhood should be a race filled only with worksheets, scores, and pressure. Learning can happen through books, conversations, play, family routines, and simple daily experiences.
Our approach is still growing and evolving, but one idea stays at the center:
Children learn best when they are curious, engaged, and encouraged to think for themselves.
Questions Matter
One idea that inspires our family is the spirit of Havruta, a learning approach often connected with discussion and questioning.
Rather than focusing only on the “right answer,” it values conversation, reflection, and curiosity.
That can look surprisingly simple in everyday life:
What did you enjoy today?
Why do you think that happened?
How did your friend feel?
What would you do differently?
We believe questions are not interruptions to learning.
Sometimes, they are the learning.
Learning Beyond Memorization
We are also inspired by inquiry-based learning and educational ideas often associated with the IB approach.
Of course, knowledge matters.
But learning is not only about remembering information.
We value:
- curiosity
- critical thinking
- communication
- creativity
- empathy
- problem-solving
Children will eventually face tests and expectations. But long after scores are forgotten, the ability to think, ask, and adapt continues to matter.
English as a Tool, Not a Competition
English is part of our learning journey, but not as a race.
For us, language is a tool.
It opens doors to stories, cultures, friendships, and ideas.
That is why we care about enjoyable reading, meaningful exposure, and building confidence over chasing perfection.
Books, read-aloud time, and home learning activities are part of that journey.
Learning a language should feel alive, not fearful.
Learning at Home, Our Own Way
Home learning does not mean recreating school.
Sometimes it looks structured.
Sometimes it looks messy.
Some days are filled with books and focused activities. Other days involve museums, conversations, outdoor play, or simply following a child’s interests.
We are not searching for a perfect method.
We are building a learning life that works for our family.
Growing Together
EVERIJOY is not about having all the answers.
It is a place to explore Korean parenting, education, family life, and the everyday learning moments that shape childhood.
If you are curious about how children learn, how families grow, and how culture shapes education, we are glad you are here.
Let’s keep learning together.
